I am sorry, as it was me who brought
up your using a stage name. I mentioned it in
passing in post 305, not realizing what a tempest in a
teacup it would cause. I did not mean to cause a stir.
I, and I am sure all of your true fans, can
appreciate and understand that you wanted to protect your
family as much as possible from what you were afraid
would be a backlash for your posing in Playboy. It is
precisely this apparent thoughtfulness and sensitivity that
set you apart from so many of your peers in the
glamour-modeling business.
Playboy, which once truly did
represent the “girl-next-door”, has strayed so far from
that ideal that it is unfathomable to me that they
still use that moniker to describe the overwhelming
majority of their current Playmates. In the
nip-and-tucked, surgically enhanced and silicon-filled world that
is modeling today, you are a delightful breath of
fresh air – a real person with a real body and a real
mind behind it. While I am sure that there are others
like you in the business (and I do not blame anyone
for going the “enhanced” route to gain success, they
are only playing by the rulebook as it has been
written), you appear to be an honest-to-goodness real
person and yes, a genuine girl next door.
